Really...
Really...
Its a reaaly good one. Ive just arrived in Beijing with just basic knowledge of Mandarim and that dictionary has been very useful.
it saved me 20 bucks on a dictionary!!!!works well!!!
very good
Very nice little dictionary, with pinyin and even measure words included. Seems to work well as well with no crashes so far.
it´s more than o.k. for a free version, therefor 4 stars
Been looking for an easy to use chinese-english offline dictionary for beginners. Since google translator does not work in China and baidu transis not good for reading pinyin, this app is exactly what Ive been searching for such a long time.
Search by English, pinyin at the same time and very fast too.
Intuitive to use, finds the correct words quickly, definitions accurate
Nice search implementation but no means of saving past searches such as history list or word list. Also, there doesnt seem to be any particular sorting order to the results. For example, searching for cheng shows Chengan first before cheng itself. Not sure if this is based on some kind of relevance.
Well done, easy to use and gets the results fast. Loving the live search-shows result as you type. One suggestion thou; allow the function to copy the translated Chinese word, this way I can use the translated word-phrase in emails.
So I get that you cant do handwriting on the iPod touch 2g ?
Handwriting should be included in iPod touches too!!!
The new iPod Touch has the handwriting function
A very useful app Searches while you type Stroke orders do matter when writing them into the screen Recommended for learners and native speakers alike Great!
I like this app especially to translate English to Chinese characters, but I would love it if you included Cantonese Romanization for pronunciation.
When I typed in "you" the app keep seeing it as pinyin instead of Eng .
I tried all of them and this one struck me as most useful of all. Its fast and easy to use (on my iPhone 4). I only need to enter text in one dedicated field (could be English, pin yin or Chinese) and it figured it out on the fly and suggest possible matches instantly as I type. Very impressive and slick. Integrates very well with iOS 4s Chinese input screen. Just enable it in your settings and you can look up Chinese words too. Missing the online lookup which costs a bit more but the features included are more than adequate. Excellent product!
Great dictionary. I would give it 5 stars if it included Cantonese romanization (such as Jyutping or Yale) as well.
no thing to complaint so far, adding examples for the words would be great though
